I am a Bolivian citizen and I am legally residing in Spain along with my minor children. I want to divorce my husband. Can I do so in the Court where I reside?

I am a German citizen and I live during the summers on the Spanish coast. My father died two months ago and owned a home in La Manga del Mar Menor. Can I ask the Spanish courts to hear about the declaration of heirs? And what law should I apply to my father's succession?

Despite not knowing the last address of the deceased, the Spanish Courts will be competent to hear the entire succession due to the fact of having real estate in Spain. Regarding the applicable law, the nationality that his father had at the time of death must be taken into account to determine which law will apply to the succession.

We are French citizens who are on vacation in Spain and have had a traffic accident with a rental vehicle. Can we file a claim in Spain or is it not possible because we are not Spanish?

Indeed, they will be able to file a civil claim before the Spanish Courts that will be competent to hear the matter, since the incident has occurred in national territory, despite not all the parties involved in it having Spanish nationality. I am processing my Spanish nationality, and I have provided all the documents correctly, however they have denied me because my criminal record is expired, although when I provided them they were valid. What I can do?

Denial of nationality for this reason is quite common, and it usually happens that when criminal records are provided, they are in force, and due to the delay in processing the procedure, they expire. Therefore, an appeal (for reconsideration) must be presented within one month and if it is denied, an appeal must be filed before the National Court.
