Claim what belongs to you. Temporary or permanent work disability

Have you suffered an accident at work, or even outside of work? Do you have an illness that prevents your ability to work? Request the type of disability that applies to you.

Both temporary and permanent economic benefits are those that try to cover the lack of income when the worker is unable to work, whether due to an illness or an accident.

Temporary disability: This disability is included in the general regime and its determining situations are:

  • Those due to an illness or accident, whether or not at work, which prevents you from carrying out your work duties and you have to receive health care from Social Security.
  • The sick leave during which you must be observed during it, by specialist Social Security doctors.

The maximum duration of this disability is 12 months, and you could return to doing the same work you were doing previously. This inability may constitute the fact that the event causes a permanent disability.

Permanent disability: This benefit seeks to cover the loss of salary or professional income of a person who is affected by a traumatic process resulting from an illness or accident and their working capacity is definitively annulled.

If this disability prevents the person from doing their job, it will be TOTAL PERMANENT DISABILITY, and if it prevents you from doing any type of work it will be ABSOLUTE PERMANENT DISABILITY.

Depending on the type of disability, which will be assessed by a group of doctors, you may receive a percentage of disability in percentages (%) which will be studied by the disability assessment team.

If you have any of these situations, do not hesitate to contact us, remember that our first visit is free, we will study your case and without any obligation we will give you a quote.
